Boarding at Kochi

  • Boarding starts 4 hours before departure for MV Arabian Sea and MV Lakshadweep Sea, and 5 hours before for MV Corals and MV Lagoons.
  • Boarding closes 2 hours before departure, and the gate closes after that.
  • Your boarding time is printed on the boarding pass.

Boarding in the islands

  • Boarding closes 1 hour before departure.
  • Tickets are released on lakshadweep.irctc.co.in.
  • Your entry permit must be applied for at least 15 days before travel.

Where ships sail from

Passenger ships may operate from Kochi, Beypore and Mangalore. Most major services run from Kochi; sailings from Beypore and Mangalore are scheduled according to the programme released by the Lakshadweep Port Department.

What can change a sailing

Ship operations are affected by sea conditions, weather, administrative and operational requirements and vessel schedules. Delays and cancellations happen, particularly in the monsoon months. The quota means tourist tickets are limited even when the ship itself has space.
