First course

PADI Open Water Diver

Begin your scuba diving journey with this entry-level certification course.

  • Minimum age: 10 years, subject to junior certification rules

  • Practice: confined-water sessions and 4 open-water dives
  • Maximum depth: up to 18 metres, depending on certification and age
  • Duration: 3–4 days

Ideal for beginners who want to learn the essential skills and explore the underwater world.

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

Build confidence and sharpen your skills with adventure dives and advanced training.

  • You need: PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent
  • Theory: PADI eLearning
  • Practice: 5 adventure dives
  • Maximum depth: up to 30 metres, depending on certification
  • Duration: 2–3 days

For certified divers who want more experience and deeper dives.

PADI Rescue Diver

Career path

PADI Divemaster — Zero to Hero

A structured path from beginner towards a professional diving career.

  • Path: from beginner training up to Divemaster, subject to eligibility
  • Includes a 3-month internship after the course, as set by the dive centre
  • Accommodation included, as per the dive centre's terms
  • You need: the required PADI certifications, experience, medical clearance and minimum age
  • Duration: confirmed with the dive centre

For passionate divers who want professional-level knowledge and skills.

Booking & cancellation policy

  • Booking deposit: ₹20,000, which the dive centre says is non-refundable.
  • Payments: the dive centre says payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Weather: every dive depends on the dive leader's safety decision. Dives cancelled because of weather or unforeseen circumstances are not refunded under the dive centre's policy.
  • Medical reasons: dives missed because of a guest's medical condition are not refunded.

Questions divers ask

Can I learn scuba diving in Lakshadweep as a beginner?

Yes. The PADI Open Water Diver course is made for beginners. It takes 3–4 days, includes 4 open-water dives and costs ₹30,000 per person. The minimum age is 10.

Where are the scuba courses held?

The courses run with Ammathi Scuba in Agatti, the island with Lakshadweep's airport. We can combine your course with flights, stay and your entry permit.

What happens if dives are cancelled because of the weather?

The dive leader decides whether it is safe to dive. The dive centre's policy does not refund dives cancelled because of weather or unforeseen circumstances, so plan a spare day if you can.
