Kalpeni Island, Lakshadweep
Lagoon Heaven — Three islets around one enormous lagoon, with a storm-built coral bank along the shore.

About Kalpeni
Kalpeni is dominated by a huge shallow lagoon shared with the islets of Cheriyam and Pitti. Along its eastern edge lies a ridge of coral boulders thrown up by a storm in 1847 — a strange, memorable shoreline. The calm water makes it one of the better islands for kayaking and beginner water sports.
